Between the Lines

It's unconditional, the feelings I have,
of those forgotten places where once
I traveled the shadows of you.

I can sit in the darkness and imagine.
See you through eyes, a stranger,
and still the moments, to wait until
the evening hangs over and laces me
in the mist of a late summer's eve.

Its calm reaching and pulling me towards you.
A hold swaying me with little effort
and acquiring my heart with few words.
Direction is yours for the taking,
when you can reach inside with
the naked truth and leave your mark planted,
allowing room to grow.

You are firmly fixed in my mind,
shades of gray for me to brighten.

M

I loved every word, especially the beginning and the end.

Your poetry is so pretty and does indeed,  brighten these blues pages.

There's something about unconditional that means so much.

Lets take it to the top, one more time, just because.

Great, great poem.

Love it. Beautiful lines.

This poem oozes heartfelt emotions.  Very well written.  You made me feel your emotion through your words - a difficult thing to accomplish and a sign of a keeper of a poem.  Your words touch me.  I spend too much time away from home.  Thank you for your contribution to my own introspection.

Warm regards,

Kevin
