The wind gently brushes her hair.
There on the beach, she scans the sea.
Alone with her thoughts and stare.
The wind gently brushes her hair,
As setting sun, lights her body bare.

Silently she waits there for he.
The wind gently brushes her hair.
There on the beach, she scans the sea.

            ********

As the sun sets, her head bows down.
Slowly she turns and walks away.
Her eyes vacant over a frown.
As the sun sets, her head bows down.
Silently she walks back to town.

Knowing she'll return the next day.
As the sun sets, her head bows down.
Slowly she turns and walks away.

            ********

In the morning fog, there she waits.
Silent, patient, her watch goes on.
Her mind, like the sea, undulates.
In the morning fog, there she waits,
Shivering as the mist saturates.

Unaware her love's forever gone,
In the morning fog, there she waits.
Silent, patient, her watch goes on.

Excellent write Eric!
Wonderful imagery and I love anything to do with the sea.

This paints the mood well, I can see her and I feel for her -

Happiness isn't something that happens to you, it's created from within you.  Joy is a state of mind.

Wonderfully expressed , I could sense her often returning with her heart yearning
It was as though you had been watching me , someone is always in thought when I walk down by the sea
