the dawn crackles like a bonfire
beneath the bowl-shaped eyes of the
full moon
its glaze is exact and lifts faithfully
over you

phantasmal

you point upwards
apocalyptic
and you shock the sky

the waves greet you like playful puppies
hurriedly lapping at your rocky girdle
with fermented tongues
your lids lower to the swell of fish
and wish for the bulge of night
where tired men bang at your feet
regardless

you the white ghost of salt shadows

you look out toward the pure tremor of time
that spreads along ocean’s bedsheet

and know
you are not needed until...

the darker stage of twilight

The clouds never expect it when it rains, but the sea, changes colour, but the sea, does not change.

Wow,  I am most certainly impressed by this
poem.  Superb.  I love lighthouses and you
have done well in your writings.  That is
truly a great poem.

What a picture your words paint - enjoyed.

Did I tell you I like the new pic?  Well, I do.  Anyway, moving on...

Your writing is superb.  It is incredibly evocative and visual.  You have the uncanny ability to paint so vividly pictures that communicate the mood of your write.  This is a tricky thing to do.  It's one thing to set a scene.  It's quite another to set a mood through that scene (more than just communicating a mood).  Are you with me?  Good.  Let's move on.  Your poetry strikes me as sincere, profound, at times perfectly gritty, cinematic, living, breathing bits of brilliance.  I hope you take your writing seriously.  It holds great things for you.  You touch great souls with great words.  Barry was impressed.  So am I.

fabulous writing, and love the picture to...this was awesome...I was there, you took me by the hand and glided me over to a land of ocean, pure clear azure blue...there, a lighthouse, on the very tip of the island, and while standing there, I feel like I'm facing the beginning of time...

wonderful write
