Strange Waters

He slid a word under her
gently

her bible belt slipped,
undefined sensitivities
peered over the edge
into wonder

allowing her hills and valleys
by inclination
to heave with quake alone

she roamed Missouri
no longer
and Baja sand was not safe
even when in waters
ankle deep

the riptide pulls

even while he holds her
with one more tanned word

and the cocoanut oil
glides with shine

almost as slick as he

Wow! Gotta love that lotion, eh? Especially on a deserted beach....or a deserted anything....

Just a thought, but it seems to me that the names "Bible Belt" and "Tornado Alley" describe pretty much the same territory....now I know why!

This has so much below the surface(and some right on top) that the reader can take it anywhere in the imagination!  Well done!  KJ
