He Anchors Me

~*Marge Tindal*~

When upon life's waves I am tossed
and all about me seems so lost
When drowning in the murky sea
To the cross of His promise
He reaches out and anchors me

In the storming I am steadied
Readied for the tempest blown
Knowing He has anchored me
for all the storms to come

Lord, sometimes I swim in sin
far from the peace of the shore
Anchor me in the faith of you
so I will sink no more

And He lifts me steady
makes me ready
for each and every passing storm
I cling to the anchor of His cross
upon which my sins are borne

This reminds me of an old hymn...

"The winds and the waves shall obey His will... peace, be still."

Beautiful work, my friend... You and yours stay safe! *S*

Wanting to let you all know that this one is being published in 6 area church bulletins this Sunday~
To give others words of hope in dismal times, is a blessing to me~
I am humbled and honored to have been asked by the churches to include this piece as a message for their members~

May all be safe and in His care~
