Smells of smoke rise through the woods
Like inhuman thinking
Orbiting moods beyond reason
Like a mountain trail, uncoiling its offspring
Of seething earth’s awakening blooms

The hours gobbling protein
Writing direction into coolness
Coolness with strength and patience
Calling to the hunger of snow
The need for silk green foliage to dream

And the accountable components
Of duties, circling a biological clock
Of browns, orange, reds, yellows
Emitting a mythology of interpretations

Light growing absent by appointment only
Entwined legless instinct, parting change
Interacting keys of deep speechless presence
Creating a ballroom of dimensions

Wondrous doors opening a soul appointed pass
Unto grey-faced droplets of hissing white
Correct proportion realizes a genetic clock
Holding honor to the Zen of future overtones

Dancing rays of “changeless modifications” perfected
Sheer psychic power of some divine aboriginal mind
Determined, unstoppable circles of frothing memory
Focusing on tomorrows outstretched horizon

Moth pieces of some infantile spirituality
Feeding possibility
Securely parked in the infinite eyes of season
Like a hint of conventional vows portrayed
Urging momentum into a white transition

To reflect, perhaps inspire some singing wind
Interwoven into music and internal friendships
A frothing Viking of winter’s child
Grows a breathing discovery…..

Not much time this morning for a proper comment...Gotta go get some plants in the ground...
But This stanza I found profound....

"The hours gobbling protein
Writing direction into coolness
Coolness with strength and patience
Calling to the hunger of snow
The need for silk green foliage to dream"

Come read to me some poem,
Some simple and heartfelt lay,
That shall soothe this restless feeling
And banish the thoughts of day.
Longfellow

Oh My! great ending...Dang! this is good, glad I ate it for breakfast...

"To reflect, perhaps inspire some singing wind
Interwoven into music and internal friendships
A frothing Viking of winter’s child
Grows a breathing discovery….."
Just had to say that...phones ringing....bye

there is a seam there
where winter and autumn meet
crooked one
like a stream
that is gathering ice

could spend hours there
writing of that place
from both sides of the stream

enjoyed this Lee J
