Those words you left behind branded into my heart so deeply that even time has not been able to cool the searing pain of that moment when they were first heard. Still those same tears flow as those words are heard repeated {over and over again} they play. The volume can NOT be turned down; pushing stop doesn’t work. Even now, I know that those days are gone, knowing that they have ended…. but still the words are branded They remain scarred, unhealing... {and I pray to forget ……} I pray to remember they hold no merit, they aren't true now….. they weren't true then……. they were just words. Through the stillness they reverberate like a ghost from the past that haunt in the solitude of my tears flowing into the river of pain that sometimes flood my heart. In the silence still is heard the sound of a hole ripping into my soul they were just words. Sometimes words linger long after the echoes have dwindled to faint they were mere words..... forever branded~ It's better than I could have planned.. it's made me who I am... {Trace Adkins} |

hey sweetie, good morning...this is a reflection of stirring momentum, ones that leaves such stiking effects...we've all been on both sides of this....and it never becomes any easier... marvelous work of heartbreakingly beautiful |

I've been branded with a few m'self... and, at least for me, time has never healed anything. Sometimes it can cover something up only to be rediscovered and relearned even more, later... but for time to heal? never... This write says it all so perfectly.
