Oh mirror whence the morn does rise
perchance thee lend to me thine eyes.
That I might gaze the fairest skin
and wrest from them those babes of men.

Oh mirror look far in the night
amongst the stars of orbit’s flight
Where dance the faeries fluttering
and maidens hearts are hammering

Oh glass upon the ledge most high
I come to thee, in mournful cry.
My soul now casts thy cold hard earth,
reflect my friend, to me my birth.

For if but once my glance might glean
the eyes of they in nightly preen
I wouldst give tongue my last request
and rid my skin of years attest.

Lo mirror of the wall and nook
of crystal falls and babbling brook,
I shalt return to wipe thy face
and leave to thee my humble grace.

For beauty lies beyond the skin
of woman born, of warrior men.
Within the heart my youth resides
where time has stopped as aging hides.

i wish aging could hide...at least from the skin..

It never hides from our hearts and souls does it?

I got this in my own way..I hope that is fine.

Is it not amazing, the youth within the heart?  You conveyed so well that it is within our hearts that we reside, not within our skin.  And you, Dear Sir, are a most comely soul.

I wrote one called Looking Glass a long time ago, this is nice, had an old world feel to it.

I love this.  My Grandma was young until the day she died - 83

Somehow it all is just the exterior - which is really good news because I'm leaving youth and I want to keep it!!
