"yeah"
he lost it
straight away
islands
jimmying
the stream
"yeah"
the eyes
met leveling
sidling
the pocket hands
begging mama
for reprieve
(how much can I stand and stay?)

"yeah"
(he lost it anyway.)
shrugging shoulders
lost the way--
I yearn to lick my hand and curl
his hair back into place...I stayed.

placing paw on shoulder left
"yeah"
I said, " a cigarette"

blowing warnings at us both--

over glints
of flash intent
popping circles with my lips
"yeah"
a circle of misfit
as mama blew the room
in twos
of chains streaming
conundrum
flowing
from a river run
with gloss au natural spittoon.

I realized "too late" too soon.

The words tumble across the tongue and there is a rhythm that catches one.  Enjoyed.

Ya know the Joplin song "Piece of my Heart"?  You are so often, the poetic equivalent.
I can't read you without knowing that the experience may cut deeper than I'd likely care for, yet I continue to visit.  Go figure

See what Duncan said in his last lines?  I feel you inside Serenity, and in doing that, sometimes the pain is less of an itch, and more of a scratch I can't get at enough.  You know I carry you in my heart, but to quote you,
(how much can I stand and stay?)

"yeah"
(he lost it anyway.)
shrugging shoulders
lost the way--

placing paw on shoulder left
"yeah"
I said, " a cigarette"

blowing warnings at us both--

This aches, just simply aches. C'mere will ya?

I love the jazz rhythm here.  Oh, that we could delay our knowing ...

serenity,
Were I not married, I would seek you out just
to see what fantastic possibilities might arise.
As it stands, would you do me the honor of collaborating on a piece?

Doc she really does sing too she sings on the phone to me once every so often, and she's not bad really, LOL.  Gosh come to think of it, she writes, sings, cooks, is kinda a smart talker, well read, and has a heart of gold.  Sheesh, pretty soon she will be darn near perfect.

Mysteria,
"Darn near perfect?", surely you must have forgotten the one key element that earned her her tiara, that of grace under pressure.
(I really want to do the collaboration thing)
