What little I know of poetry
is a soft phrase, a verse that flickers
where light falls

on the tip of a pin
or the strap of a child's sandal.

What little I know of love
is a man's scent, wild and warm
against my cheek like a voyager
returning home.

What little I know of joy
is mingled with musk,
flashes of words
spice on the breeze,
half-remembered innocence
nectar poured out,
heated like fire,
unrestrained in cupped hands.

Oh I like this very much, very much indeed.

Happiness isn't something that happens to you, it's created from within you.  Joy is a state of mind.

What little I know of you
borders on admiration
of your pen.

I'm going to enjoy watching
as you share.
