Shy

If I could pour out
my words so clear,
I would be a babbling brook,
at your ear.

However…
being that I am much too shy,
I will consider my voice
a’ mere inside...

My thoughts a honeycomb,
with buzzing busy bees,
will flow down from my head,
to my wobbly knees.

Down to my toes and back again
to tingle my hazy mind.

And all the while
I’ll think of you,
as if,
you were mine…
