No Keys Along the Highway |

You're the echo that ripples through my meditation. When night falls, you're the color slide over the moon's face the pillar rooted where once bloody hands unearthed a bedroll under Cross St. bridge the lucky seven thrown from sweaty palms, fingers dipped in holy water you're my riser, the butterfly whose soul blossoms into a jet trail near the sea. I feel lost, walk, and turn along the side of the road. There are no keys along the highway. |
