I play this game of life each day
But wonder of another way
Making moves like playing chess
Some ways right and some a mess

Not often I move straight ahead
I veer and pause too much instead
Hiding from what move might see
My options end, exposing me

I’d like to be the little pawn
But for the battle they are born
Maybe be the horse or knight
Always ready for the fight

Be bishop moving where he can
The king or just or just a normal man
Trying with the tools I’ve got
To play the game and earn my plot

For some are pawns and some are kings
But in the end nobody wins
It’s how we just enjoy the game
And how our options do remain

So let us play a super game
And treat each other all the same
Be grateful we could play our part
Until another game does start

One thing about Chess, Rick, and that is while
during the game, one must put themselves into
each piece,
and remember to keep the goal in sight.

Rick, and like in chess, we can only move within our own limits.  I especially like the ending of this one.
