They fell from my grasp, the cards
each one diving to their deaths
into my carpet of tranquility.

I sat in dismay . . .

And the fingers, my own, were splayed
like that of the statue of the Virgin Mary.
My head tilted sideways in pity,
my eyes . . . softening

as much as stone can soften

I wonder if the tenth house is proud
to have me as a sponsor, so to say,
I mean being so flighty as I am,
I do not seem to fit the mold . . .

let me check my mailbox
there just may be a pink slip . . .

Oh, how I long to tiptoe across the sky
touching each constellation,
taking with me a part of history.

or was it her-story . . . hmmm . . .

I am tired of being a goat, you know?
and the son of man sounds nice and all

sigh

I cannot swim that well,
and am definitely not the lamb of God.
I am not strong like a bull,
although I do enjoy flight.

And a twin would only cause me a migraine.

Oh, but to wax and wane with the moon
now that sounds fascinating.
Or to be the heart of the zodiac.
But I am not really a lion,
nor am I the best hostess.

I tend to stick to the other side of the law
and I do not care for the color red,
nor am I narcisstic in nature.

I can be adventurous . . .

Like a goat, embarking down
a craggy embankment.
Her head tilted in dismay.

Wondering to herself
how she happened to end up
exactly where she began.

understanding this circling syndrome, and this climbing down from craggy cliffs

'bout time you got yourself back in here

BTW, what does this tenth house business mean? I'm not knowledgeable in that realm. LOL, guess that's obvious.

The wheel always takes us back.  Sometimes it spins so fast that holding on is hard; sometimes we let go and tumble like a card in freefall.

I have missed you.

Like the softness of what we really do believe, cleanses that which we dream to breath. So will time, never to judge. Allowing the newness of which we are, to always be. Missed you lw.

It's good to read you again, Sue. And tho astrology is only a dabble o mine, I do seem to recall reading something somewhere that related that the ideal goal of astrology study was to transform oneself past descriptions dictated by birth. OH wow.

Now that makes purty good sense, huh?

*chuckle*

But the idea is the wheel as constant evolution whilst maintaining the positive attributes of each sign.

Therein the trick lies...

but I run my head again.

Welcome back to Pip. Enjoyed.

Sometimes my friend, the cards falling and the circles walked.. all lead us back to the inner truths we are here to face and learn from..

I've missed reading your words as well... and hope all is well with you these days...

the imagery in this is impressive...
such unique, fascinating self exploration and expression. Your poetry always has that quality... your own very unique signature style. Welcome back to the blue pages girlie..so good to read you again.
