Two ships passing in the night
By chance see one another's light

Not knowing why or how or when
Just reaching out to find a friend

A calming safe house in life's storm
An emotional blanket to keep minds warm

Not knowing that they might find more
Everything they've been looking for

Sharing a laugh Sharing their dreams
Discussing rhyme pondering themes

Connected through wires and words on a screen
Each one wondering what it all means

One ship at harbor, One ship at sea
Seperated by miles is it still meant to be?

Two ships passing in the night
Hoping nothing turns out the light

I hope that when the world comes to an end, I can breathe a sigh of relief, because there will be so much to look forward to...

Amazing what these wires have brought to us
all.  Friendships...relationships,  ships
in the night...passing silently.

Beautifully written, yes it is.

Oh!! This piece is so lovely! It's going into my library...

"Two ships passing in the night
By chance see one another's light"

I guess sometimes it's all about fate... Without that, you could've just passed each other by, not knowing him/her... But why can't one be the ship and the other the harbour. It's nice to know that there's a safe harbour for the ship to dock at after it's return from the stormy sea...
