Dear Passion,

The breeze from my window breathes some much needed air into my life.
This seemingly neverending obsession with love,
seems to have left as quickly and as unnoticed as
it came into my life, with you in tow.

So many 'thank you's are in order,
bruises from years past,built up.
Making it easier for me to forget the feelings,
the love for you that seemed to have
driven me to insanity time and time again.

I guess i should have known better.

Your eyes still feel like the world to me,
soon they'll be in my memory,
leaving me with nothing but a sigh and a scar
to remember you by in years to come.

This is not a 'I need you.' letter,
it's a goodbye,and i've learned my lesson.
So thank you..thank you for breaking me,
and teaching me that there will be harder things
in life than this,
and although saying goodbye
may be one of the hardest things i've had to do yet..
In the end it's better to dream of what might have been and what never will be..
Then not to dream at all.

Yours Truly,
Lover.

"Your eyes still feel like the world to me,
soon they'll be in my memory,
leaving me with nothing but a sigh and a scar
to remember you by in years to come."

Those last two lines of the poem, I have found, to be so very true.  Good write, Chelsea.   .....jo

Well done Chelsea...you are packing the
feel of goodbye into the poem rather well.
Such bittersweet emotions to leave on a
lover's doorstep...  "He's got mail!"

Hi Chelsea. It seems today is a day for me to read new writers...but it makes me laugh I keep picking out Canadians. Being originally from Ontario I just find it amusing. Anyway this letter is very good. If it isn't blunt faced and to the point then I don't know what is. You have really captured the spirit of the emotion. Wonderful job and it really made for a great piece of reading this morning. I enjoyed thoroughly this solioquy and look forward to seeing more of your work.

Remember, if you're not part of the future, you're history!

It is good this "good-bye" I think.  Good to pen the emotions and then let them go.  Well written.

Happiness isn't something that happens to you, it's created from within you.  Joy is a state of mind.
