My muse spilled this........don't know why.

Wrap me in your blanket, darling,
Rock me in your arms.
I am in a weakened way
And captivated by your charm.

Hold my hands and kiss them clean.
Walk me through the crystal stream;
Bathe me in your silver dream.
Your magic hushes all my screams.

Wipe my tears and stroke my brow.
Place a smile in me.
Hold me ‘til the night is done;
Then you can set me free.

Sweet melancholy...this.
Not quite bittersweet, but
tinging the border...

Good muse, I'd say!
I definitely agree that this is lyrical... it sings off the page with a longing but lovely ache. I started to reply on this before but had to go so I hadta come back and read you again love it!

Simply beautiful, poignant, erotic, powerful... evoking so many feelings, images, fantasies. Dear ~Jo, don't ask "why....the Mse spills out"

A moment's respite
before silver dreams fade
in dawn's first light,
my tears remain hidden
in mists above crystal streams.

iliana,
Yup, you're good! I really like this a lot.

Hi Jo:  this is truly an amazing piece that I've read several times. Each time I feel more emotion flowing from it.

Great writing!  hugs, Marti

iliana, this poem reminds me of one that I wrote several years ago entitled, "Just for Tonight". I never posted it, but I literally got goosebumps reading your lyrically lilting poem. Your muse has not abandoned you! It was good to read your lovely collaboration!

Love ya, lily jo!

Hi iliana. Mmm...love this piece. Love the ryhme scheme a-heck-of-a-lot! Bravo! It is a sad piece but deeply beautiful too. I could never write this way. I always end up twisting my poetry into convuluted pieces that are never what I first imagined. Bravo my friend!

Set you free?  Perhaps...  But, on the
other hand...why?  After all,  one can
never get enough of something so nice

Not long ago, I felt one of your poems was difficult to write.  I think this one just blossomed in you with a need to get out.  Well done.  Ken
