Sad Songs

I can no longer stop the pain
lonely lullaby's sad refrain
sung in words oh so true
of how I long to be with you

hold me not just in the night
kept in secrets from the light
of two hearts so tightly held
a place of fire where they meld

rhythmic notes soothe my heart
agonizing moments of us apart
still hold pain but how they sing
bitter sweet joy that they bring

this lonely space within my bed
a longing emptiness to be fed
close my eyes, hear thy beat
listening lulls me back to sleep

just some words cut out
from the diary of my heart

sometimes the silence holds the sweetest story ...

      amazing how we can get the same radio station from so far away!

               Add a few strobe lights of lightning, a little backbeat of rain and one could drift easily through this song!

Must agree with the serene one....elegant. This a perfect way to start my morning, after a night spent in pretty much the same way.
