Dappled back halves...herbs and roots
Stretch out in the bed of pretty soon
Dawn’s leg crossed, one over the other
While peeking inside sunset, to take a look

Even in poor light, significance stands still

Shadows slide down slopes of nearing home
Boiling to nothingness, over rising wet stones
Fire framed within earshot, bleeding like a cougars cry
A fare walk of loss, careens the traveler’s eyes

Amber expressions, unbutton hues of life
Revealing details, which speak quit physic
Pinching off chords of awkwardness
There was no recovering a love now cautious

Pointless to ponder how those years could have been
Once a thing is damaged, you can never weigh-in
Best not to grieve your heart on and on
In truth, a heavy heart, is the devil’s poison

In the intervals of silence, now a different being
At times, the world can be a lonesome beating
Divinity counts the tally, then taking some back
It’s up to us, not to listen to unpleasant soundtracks

And so...

Dappled back-halves along with herbs of goodwill
Stretched out in a colorful divan of chenille
Dawn’s legs uncross a roll of nature’s way
Trees green and swaying, with one very prolific ballet
