Find and play
  one hidden note of me

ebony cacophony

skip a beat,
do not repeat
for my
syncopation is
   out of time’s reach

ebony cacophony

the melody is off a nearby shelf,
unchained, untamed
for now

that will have to do

but come tomorrow?

I shall once again be me,
not a weak reflection
of you.

ebony  cacophony

But the reflection
feels as good as
  a soft comfortable blanket.

Ahhh but life is not to stay beneath the blanket...one must throw it off and greet the world with heart and soul to be free....amazing how your words remind me of myself before I was set free to be me....I love your work...

Nicely done Kacy,  and I needed a microscope
to read the "fine print"...

Smiling at you, Craig, where have you been?

Startime, one of these days I'll rid myself of all my unharmonious noisey dark thoughts.

Barry, thanks for visiting, sorry 'bout the tiny print, but that's the only way I could downplay the dark side.

You are such a unique soul, how could you be a reflection of anyone except yourself? Always a pleasure to peruse your thoughts, Kacy.  Ken

Through rubble and trouble and dark of night
The yawn of a dawn will hasten the light

This poem has double meaning for me, Kacy, as I studied piano for 13 years.  My first attempt at making sound was to play only the black keys.....yes, a cacophony; and a dark one.  Great poem, lady!

Were my mother alive, she would have been the first person I would have sent this to.  Oh, Kacy, this is in my library as of now.

Thank you!

Karilea - if I whisper, will you listen?  Keeping in mind, I must stand close...

Ken, c'mere you, for a special hug. Thanks, for staying close to the hidden notes.

Jo, I always wanted to study piano, but never did. Maybe there is still time? Interesting, what you said about the ebony keys. I wondered if anyone besides me ever did that. LOL, it always sounded so eerie.

Karilea, what an honor! It's my pleasure, to have written something that touched you deeply.
