the lights have gone out in my room
but my eyes are wide open
seeing life the way i love to see it
vulnerable,and lost
something to relate to.

lately i've been seeing life through dull eyes
the californian landscapes pass me by
it's all a blur,
and i don't mind

i wasn't meant for this life,
this trendy,frappachino,cellphone,manicure
californian life.

and yet..
and yet the limelight calls me
to this life,
to this life of casting calls, late nights, early mornings, scripts and coffee.
begging me to follow my heart

one passion,
one obsticle,
one challenge
equals a dream.
my dream.

this trendy,frappachino,cellphone,manicure
californian life may not be mine.
but the stage calls me,
the screen screams my name
you can't ever resist your dream.

My pop always said, "If you ask a thousand girls to dance, one of them will say yes."  I think the same thing applies here.  Depends on how bad you want it.  You can do anything you can visualize yourself doing.  Believe that!  Great writing as always.  You are gifted, gifted, gifted.

You played out the mood very well within
the poem...the different styles of life,
the obstacles that stand before you,  but
not keeping you from a goal....GO for it!
