The Roar of Chaos

The roar of chaos strikes my ear
And wets me with the sweat of fear
It storms about my valleys green
And havoc is the only scene

The dragons fire belches high
Lighting it with fires fly
Spilling rain of acid flame
Making sulfurs yellow bane

There is no rainbow path to run
It leached the color from the sun
It killed the shadows growth and play
Its eaten up the light of day

My eyes tear brine this sour wine
My tongue is swollen with the dine
I cower in my covers core
And damn the echoes bringing more

Each sense does strike a blow my mind
And for the moment I am blind

Such chaos has that effect
I’m sure you’ll find order again
And sight, like the insight
Seen in your poetry

dear sweet Sy...these words certainly deserve a hug...even though you write such beautiful song...this one this morning was sad...

Hope all will be well soon.

Ah Sy...

You flip my flop from day to day
and I am happy until you're gray
then I'm sad and wear a frown...
but wait, if I stand me upside down
and then would wear an upside frown
do you think I'd gain a smile this day?

Ahah!  I see you have been peeking in my window again   Chaos seems my middle name these days, and trust me you nailed it to the core with your usual Randy roar.

Randy spits fire and your rhymes fly higher..
Me thinks its time to cool the chaos with some raspberry tea in Shangri-la.

In the meantime we'll give Randy some Tums and TLC for his tummy.

Seymour, dear man, I am so sorry to hear of your loss.  I am not much good at knowing what the right thing to say is at times like this.  Just know that you have been and are in my thoughts.  Sending a basket full of my hugs to you right now.   ....jo

My dear friend,

I did not see your daily fare upon our plate
this day and I wondered if all was well.
This poem aches with sadness, a degree of
your own fear and the frustration that life
sometimes brings to us.

I know that the loss of your brother brings
great pain to your heart as well as may
bring to surface your own tenderness.

Know that my heart is with you in your
journey.  For we love you as who you are
to us,  a brother as well.

My sympathies, Sy.
Been there.
They said that he was the healthy one.
And here I sit . . .
Life is ephemeral, regardless how we define it.
