Upon the moon's chalked smile you would come, as it staggered in sheepishly, half dressed, on the new morning sky; faint in tone at first, i'd grasp faithfully in dawn's dark, as i reached knowingly surely you would bring to me at least one other song, but the window, like the gardens empty, a bit of darnkess lingers longer, thru the decention of stars; and i soothe myself arranging autumns leaves on barren sidewalks, brushing portraits of dreamlovers that have yet to reveal themselves, and when i grow complacent and lay dormant and doubtful momentarily, retreating from illusions of everlasting love, for no reason, or premonition of thought; it happens; you tap my shoulder in familiar voice, and remind that you were never really far away from me at all. |

I get plenty and I dont miss the falling leaves. Too much work raking and cleaning up. You can have it! I'll enjoy the sunshine, heat and humidity.... |
