special thanks to my dear friend for the use of his photo.

barbed

tears dance on the edge of tomorrow's
slice of me, my voice barbed in open
quicksand, struggles, you
blind ... slip past shut-up
kiss me
forward, home, into the curve of shoulder
and whisper, where the only destination
is, let go and breathe
past
  the past lacking acustic wonder
and doubt
tongueraindreambraillearch
skyward, clasping thunderclouds in your
eyes, baby
you complete this unfinished puzzle,
i am, and
fold buttercup daisies into my hair
giving me poetry ... tongue to tongue
healing with a hushtouchcatch-throatcry
till the sky exhales,
this voice ... released.

I love the sense of urgency to this, the photo is a perfect backdrop to the words.
