With other thought I pen away
Of people I forget each day
And though sincere I often find
That many things have left my mind

It might be phone calls meant to make
Or something I forgot to take
An errand that I said I’d fetch
Excuses that I had to stretch

Do I really want to see?
Or find the thoughts surrounded me
What is it that makes us so?
Is it normal? I don’t know

To find it’s self you must content
Though others so much love have sent
That only inner thoughts complete
The inner peace you sometimes meet

How often do we need our space?
To be within a calmer place
Away from things we need to do
To where emotions clamber to

So if we happen to forget
We’re human and some flaws are let
Tomorrows they will test and try
And answers often won’t tell why

So may the peace in we surround
To give us hope and love abound
May others love us and forgive
To understand and help us live

Sometimes, it's all about understanding...
AND forgiving...

you've nailed it, Rick.

Understanding this, Rick! I enjoy the profundity of your writes. You always shine light on things that go unnoticed in our busy lives. There is depth and wisdom flowing from your heart to ours...

Lest I forget, I shall say to you now: "You are very special, Dear Poet Heart".

Love & Light,

I believe forgiveness gives peace, so that we may live and flourish, effecting the lives of so many others in such a positive way...

Good Morning Rick, or Good day, as it is more accurately so in your neck of the woods...

Thank you for a lovely write.

Your words sing from the soul with such a gentle touch that one feels the prayer go deeply....Absolutely beautiful...

I used to beat myself up for not being perfect...had to learn to forgive myself and accept that I'm not perfect and never will be.

But I believe I am purposefully made and overwhelmingly loved by God - I can extend mercy to others as well myself for the irritating things that happen. And laugh at myself for being an idiot sometimes - just yesterday in fact

Love to read your words Rick - you speak of many things I think about and struggle with.

Someone once said "our imperfections make us perfect"... You express well the common goal of striving to be closer to that perfection.

Saving this.
