Within

You are my "thought first" of the day
keeping me fresh each morning,
never dull or faded, as your colors belie the truth.

You stand bold and adventuresome,
while I watch you with arousing interest.
There is something total about you
that I seem to lack, but I am trying
to add up to more.

What is it that holds me to you, I ask,
only because it brings to light those gifts
that you carry, never wrapped or ribboned?
An endless supply of acceptance.

I praise you, because you are
and enjoy you because you do
and if there was ever a marriage of friendship
I would define ours as one.

We are a kaleidoscope of odds,
constantly changing, patterns
to color the moments viewed from our destinies.

I have lost my edge, the tender of my words
no longer sure if you realize the depth of my walk.
When time spares us, I fumble in words and actions,
cradling my thoughts, preferring
to rise above them...if only

And so I remain silent when I wish to speak
and I speak when I wish to remain silent...
at odds with the fall of each day.

M

Little Mo darling heart oh wow, this is truly wonderful writing, I wonder how you can imagine you’ve lost your edge when you can write like this. But then darling one you are ever modest.

This is a perfect blend of thought and sense, a whisper of hope for an acceptance, wrapped in a cry of anguish for wanting such. I love it utterly, but then you know I’ve always adored your writing.

Love and warm stuff
as always
Mushy
warm hugs and soft smiles to stroke your soul today my sweet friend

Tomorrow is another day I don't know what it holds
but I can face the future with courage brave and bold

Emotions that swirl and pull,  tug and push,
causing the stammer or still of lips...ending
in a cherished memory birthing once again
a smile...

Your depth is awesome, Wynter....

Agree with Magnus, you've such a talent for expressing what many would (and do) stumble and stammer over. Wonderful write.
