Worth A Try

I can't do your part,
I can only do mine.
If you can't find
a reason to try,
you're wasting
my precious time.
Next thing you know
a week, a month,
a year gone by.
What am I
worth to you
if I'm not
worth a try.

A lack of trying sends a message
that they don't know how to
value or appreciate a relationship.
Why waste precious years of a
life with someone like that.

Thank you passing shadows and Roniece...it seems like some relationships are one sided...with one doing most of the work and the other going along for the ride...James
