Today I took  a  road untaken
To read old masters poetry, for me quite unknown,
Sends warmth of his Christmas tree heart,
Reverberating as if thoughts my own.
Of Frost, I celebrate with my humbly
    written poem!

Ah, one of the Masters.  Tributes like this always touch me, when we acknowledge all that has gone on before us...

even when we think all of the words have been spoken...someone always comes up with something new, and unique!

Thanks, Gentle Spirit, Lee J., and Sunshine,

I never thought the way a poet did, never understanding, and afraid of the difficulty in reading.  Now I see a fraction of what I've been missing!  There are spectacular galaxies of thoughts in the Masters writing that I must touch, must feel. I would never have been led in that direction had it not been for the poets here.  Thank you allfor your inspiration.

Which way to go,
Some times I just don’t know,
Will the Road not Taken be the better one
And how shall I ever know till done,
Will still the drumming
Of staccato e.e.cummings
Hop the grasses of my brain
Or will thought droll like John Donne reframe.
I know there is nothing to fear
From the noble Shakespeare
With talk of ghost and witches brew
Or a dramatic history or two
Can we just listen to the Warm
With rod McKuen
So much to read
So many emotions to feed
