...wow, this is almost as old as I am - found this in my old (aptly I guess) Bible class spiral notebook from back in high school - 1960...don't even remember who it was to  -  in high school Everything was TO or FOR a girl. (and I did make an "A" in the class...so there! . . . although I've heard a lot of "thunder" since then)

The Gravity of Love

When Eden closed it’s doors
kicked them both out
it was thought all things beautiful
had come to an end.
But if things had stayed the same
they’d not been forced  beyond that gate
we’d never have been encircled
by the arms of fate.
The apple tree
may have bore the heaviest fruit of all
but if that apple had never come down
you and I would never have know about gravity,
or the gravity of love.

Very profound for a highschool student!
Ah, the sixties.....where did they go?

This is a wonderful and thought filled poem for one as young as you when you wrote it...and even now..it's timeless.  Thanks for posting it!
