As dark and ominous clouds swirled above me,
a cooling breeze blew in from the lake,
breathing life into my scorched and listless body.
The day's oppressive heat had drained the vitality
from me and I thirsted for quenching rain.
As the storm gathered momentum, I looked on in
wonder at the magnificence and power of nature.
Before long, raindrops began to fall ~ washing the
salty residue from my fevered brow.
Flashes of lightening lit up the skies between
  intermittent claps of booming thunder.
I spontaneously reached up into the electrically-
charged atmosphere and became one with the storm.
I felt more alive at that very moment than I could
  ever recall being.
As the winds grew in force, the lake waters were
whipped into a frenzy of tall, white-crested
waves crashing against the rocky shore.
The raging elements cleansed the air of all
impurities and the ozone freshness was
  revitalizing.
I inhaled it deep into the core of my being and
experienced the rebirthing of its essence.

Since that day, whenever my vitality has begun to
wane, I close my eyes and envision myself in
the midst of that invigorating summer storm.

Margherita ~

My body is very sensitive to drops in barometric pressure so I will inform you and lily jo as to when the next thunderstorm will be arriving here in the Great White North. Then the three of us can head out into the raging elements and get our batteries charged! Afterwards, I will treat the both of you to some heavenly hospitality! Sounds like a plan?

Love you too!

I suppose it is around 2:30 AM out there in California. It is 5:30 AM in my neck of the woods ~ which could be considered either very early or very late! In my case it is very late! lol

Thank you for dropping by! It pleases me that you enjoyed reading of my electrifying experience!

ohhhh boy, the angular face of a dynamic nature, dressed in her alert and armani flashes, she is a mysterious priest capturing authentic notes of dramatic display....and you have indeed captured her scrupulous painting...her splashing granites
Stunning write, very much enjoyed.

Very powerful linda, the write and the storm!

I've tried so hard to tell myself that you're gone though you're still with me
I've been alone all along..Now I'm bound by the life you left behind

Mmmm, this was very descriptive and I could feel the charge -- like it.

Even "angels" fear to fly in stormy weather!

~ But perhaps if you were with me, I could be brave and fly above the turbulence!

(smiles) I know how so many are afraid of storms, but I do love storms as they bring much nourishment to the earth and make the world cleansed! (kiss on cheek) It's like a hysterical harmless lullaby, yay, God Bless You, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Linda, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!
