Crickets chirping cacophony
Turbidity teases tongues
Presidential politics pulsate
Manure management mistakes
Surrealistic simplistic stupidities
Vocalizing voting verbosities

Is it any wonder
minds prefer to wander onto
passionate poetic pathways?

I think, therefore
I am.
I vote, therefore
I’ll be.
Free.
If I don’t vote,
I may not be.
Free.

To sit and ponder, whine and complain
smugly, without acting, is not a worthy
trait, not even for an inanimate rock.
Some stones gather no moss.
‘Tis time for a change, for you and me
to re-arrange priorities in Washington, DC.

Vote.
Wisely.

***

I am attempting to be mindful,
and stick to a Zen-like attitude;
to not attach myself to the insignificant
current political turmoil,
knowing history often repeats itself
because no one is really listening
except to their own voice.

So, perhaps dialog
is just a writer’s motif?
S. King might find that valuable
when preparing the outline
for his next creative endeavor.

DIALOG: a rarely used clever tool
too few are trained to use.

And it often helps to have the brain in gear
before the mouth begins to move,
especially when answering questions.

It’s also a good idea to have a brain,
to begin with.

But it seems as if it is not
a Presidential pre-requisite.
