shimmer shine sky
burned out lights
behind the fog
ol sea says maybe
some other monday
he will change
the stars to neon

says he is busy now
puttin' knobbies
on the yachts
makin' their paint rough
so they can scratch
his wake when it itches
when he is on a tide high

heard him moanin'
at the dock wood slider
how she dangles her feet
and says he is cold
and he wonders why
she keeps doin, it
instead of wearin' shoes

or the sand skin dunes

High tide...

I miss the feel of that particular motion...

well done, Sir.

You delight me with your descriptions.  I love the image of this--

wear shoes and deny the pleasure of the waves lapping against my feet...never!!
I find I can't board my boat and leave my shoes on, seems almost irreverent if you know what I mean
Thanks for putting me back in the water this morning if only for a few moments

DS

I envy your proximity to the sea and how you know what it's thinking.  Loved this: !
