In this world
that suspends now,
i fall silent, a sleeping flower,
yearning to dream you;

the moon becomes my proxy,
watching the nightsky
though fading forlornly,
as the rain takes her shadow,

in tones that are fading,
she strains, if to speak now,
but is breathless, at a standstill
a tear on the soaked sky;

and i wonder if she saw you
as the flowers sing of morning.

Inky...Nice work...:-)
I am reminded what poetry does to me when I read a piece like this....compact, precise, well done....
IlianaJo
I liked that line also, but this is the one that blew me away...

"a tear on the soaked sky;"
enjoyed
