The Worded Path

I crumble the words
as their meaning decays
and the decline of the day
approaches.

Where are the guidelines?
Where is my frame of reference,
when I don't know
whether I am coming or going?

You are like an itch I can't scratch,
Yes, I know, cliche'.
But I want your voice to be mine.
When I am bleeding, I want you to feel.
When I am quaking, I want your calm
to slip its arms around me
and balance my slide.

When my soul is lost,
I want your essence to fill me,
to center my heart
where there is no halfway point
to determine my bound.

You are my blue beyond the picture,
my eyes of emotion.
You are my passing days
and stay at home nights,
while I crumble the words
and look for new.

M

You bring smile to me, for this is the enchantment that love brings.

Maureen, your words create such yearning of heart and yet such wonder of spirit accompanies the yearning. Be well my girl.
BTW Jay is doing excellently, he is home and is recovering with great speed.

Here in the midst of my lonely abyss, a single joy I find...your presence in my mind.  Unknown

I think you've skipped a decade or two of yourself, and have just gone over to great writing!

Wow -- this is excellent.
