Morning Pirouette

starlight
upon the lawn
the morning spawn
of sun and dew

dreams cast
within the rise
as sweet Sol
brings his surprise

glistening off
the tangled webs
thrown throughout
the dark of night

captured cotton
of ‘lion seeds
an intriguing sight
you’ll sure agree

black-eyed Susans
stand in awe
stretching toward
the heav’nly draw

petals down
like party dress
as they stress the joy
of summer’s dance

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.

summers dance indeed Virginia. We should all take the time to have that dance.
This is lovely, very well done.

Very pretty -
