The Way of Hate

Watched the pain drops, drain the petals
Fall upon the spines and nettles
Crash and splash to pour and hoar
Dissolve and trash forevermore

The rain had washed away the lust
Like wear that turns the stone to dust
Drifting off into the air
More than flesh and bone could bear

Burning turning cooked in time
Growing shoots of changing prime
Fussing into something new
The essence of a nature coup

To watch a flower come and go
And turn your eyes before it’s sew
Deny the efforts of its life
Is not to see or hear the fife

The steps of hate are agony
A waste of fates anatomy

Good morning, Mr. T. ~

One thing's for certain, you're not a hater! ~ you're a lover! lol

Another fine offering from your mighty  quill!

May your day ~ and life! ~ be full of love and may the head of hate never raise its ugly head!

Angel love,

See?  That's why I stay away from hate, and if I must, just "dislike".  You are on top of your form today...

Too true.  Would that all could know that hate is a bitter poison that kills the soul slowly and most painfully.  Would not then compassion and love be a better brew?

Enjoyed this wise write.

Such a cancer is hate...It has no usefulness except to destory...what a waste of time and energy it is...You put it perfectly...A wonderful write....

sigh...yes, indeed, to sometimes overlook
and deny the perfection in it....

Good Morning Sy, once again you shower us with wise places

Seymour~
You weigh the words so carefully
then lay them on the page
for all of us to see ...
Your wisdom inks words to remember~

Thank you for being a poet~

Hate is a way of allowing ourselves to blame
others for our own shortcomings...

I know you don't harbor this feel.  And I
would bet you never will.

Thank you Sir Sy....

This is probably really strange, but the poem made me think about driving these Houston road.  People speed from traffic light to light.  I usually go about the speed limit.  Sometimes angry drivers tailgate or pass and snear at me.....in the end we almost always get to the red light at the same time.  I think about all the hateful energy they project and where does it get them?....right beside me at the stop light!  Loved the poem, Seymour.   ....jo

Enjoyed the read, though I'm not totally convinced that any emotion is wasted, even a negative one.
