Falling
Off the page.
Falling
Into me.
Words
Flowing free.
Escaping
Naturally.
Drifting
Like a leaf
The wind carries me
Across the words to reconcile
Terra firma shroud’s beguile,
Holding words in gathered pile
Awaiting de-composure.
Fallen
From the tree
Fallen
Into me.
Escaping
Scrutiny.
Gathered leaves' hyperbole
Oil – from earth,
From leaf,
From bone,
From earthen death,
From blackened loam –
Enlightens lamp
That brings me home.
I grasp the words
That swirl and roam,
And stir them
Into compost poem.

Flowersjo ~

I was swirling like a leaf as I read down the page! There was so much movement in your words as they tumbled into a most illustrious pile of poetic compost!

Have a glorious day!
Love ya!

Jo, I wouldn't put this on the compost heap but then again, compost nourishes so - what's a gal to do?     Enjoyed!

Sounds like the circle of life...
Compost is filled with living organisms, just like this poem is filled with the living substance of your soul

Compost poem..now there is a thought, but I'm afraid much of mine is poem compost.  Nicely done, Jo. KJ

and then
it was sorta there..
im my eyes
so i opened it
and
it enchanted me..
thank you

for letting it be
and letting it touch me
on its way to roam

Yep,  that was the word that I was looking
for...Garbage....NO,  just kidding....yes
a compost heap...Now...this is versatility.

Imagine me telling a friend that I know a
gal that can write very eloquently of a
compost pile?  Flipping a coin....Heads
is yes,  Tails is no....

Sheesh!

Nice bit of recycling, this. Well done.
