Once upon a morning cheery,
Sat a crow depressed and teary.
Altho' his friends were glad and happy,
He sat alone, so sad and sappy.

The other crows, all were cawing,
When he joined in, it came out baaing.
He sounded like a woolly sheep,
So he was cawed, "L'il Bo Peep"!

He tried and tried to learn to caw,
But his tired throat got red and raw.
No longer did he soar in sky,
~ " 'Cause I'm a sheep and sheep can't fly!"

Once upon a morning cheery,
Sat a crow depressed and teary.
Altho' his friends were glad and happy,
He sat alone, so sad and sappy.

Linda, I cannot explain how this poem touched me.  If I were a child, it would probably make me laugh because on the surface, it's really cute.  It made me kind of sad, though, and I'll tell you about it later.  At any rate, I always, always enjoy your work, Earth Angel.......hugs, jo

lily jo ~

Yes, on the surface it has some humorous aspects to it, but it made me feel sad for the crow as well!

It's sort of a "square peg trying to fit into a round hole" scenario.

I got your email! Curiouser and curiouser!

Poor little crow, I feel sorry for him.  Maybe he'll grow up to be a beautiful eagle as he was always an eagle all along stuck in a crow's world.

Have you ever watched the short on Monster's Inc about the big bird who comes to sit upon the wire with all the little birds?  It is quite funny and delightful, I think you would like it.

Have a great day --  I also must wonder, was this a little something a sheep whispered to you last night as he sang you to sleep?

This is really tragicomic. So beautifully said!
Again I think you should publish  for children and .... grown up children of course too. There is a lesson in this, dear one. Thank you.
Love and hugs.

Mr. T. ~

No matter how hard I tried, I could not help the crow to caw or fly! ~

I do, however, fly him about on the back of my wings and we have become fairy good friends!

Perhaps you are right! Sort of a modern day "Ugly Duckling" story where he turns into a beautiful swan! I'll hold that thought! lol

(big angel hugs) Awwwwwww, I don't like sad endings like this in such cute poems, sweet friend, though I'm sure that in time the other crows will mature and realize how special this crow is, yay! (kiss on cheek) God Bless You, sweet friend, I love this, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Linda, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!
