This is Part 2 of "The Plot"
/pip/Forum90/HTML/000175.html

I suggest you read that one first, if you have not done so already.

Enjoy.

The Plot   (Part 2)

The Feast has begun and the tables creak
As the visitors gorge and praise it unique —
Then a roasted pig is brought to the plate
— An ominous sign of King’s imminent fate —
But the King ignores his nightmarish dream;
Turns blind to danger and the devilish scheme —
He rises and utters a thundering grunt:
“On the morn after feast — a Royal hunt!!

And the trio but chuckles, eyeing the swine:
“Yes...a Royal hunt will suit us just fine...”

Early next morn the dogs ready and primed
And the hunt is on and all is well timed —
When sudden, thick mist descends upon hills
And crawls under coats and brings on the chills —
The King but aimlessly treads foggy field
Grasping his sword and clutching his shield —
When a dark, shrouded figure emerges from mist:
“Follow me, Sire, for you have been missed...”
Then beckons the King to follow his lead —
And the King, reluctant, prods his white steed...

The mist has lifted and weighed is the prey,
But the absence of King causes dismay —
As all the hunters are gathered around
— His Royal Highness is none to be found.
Then over the hills swift galloping hoofs
Echo in woods to the far village roofs —
And a white stallion breaks into sight...
But there on its back sits no Royal Knight;
No fingers are clutching the flying mane;
On its white coat — a deep scarlet stain.

CG, you've crossed the moat and left the bridge down...so you go onward into the forest for part III...

Long live the King!

ARH, Part 3 is in works as we ..err..."speak". .

I love "Princess Bride", too. Been a few years...

"Hello. My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die."

Timeless. Precise, concise, straight to the point...so to speak.
