Tampering convictions

It’s on its way to me again
Those feelings unrest, feelings of sin
My mind is harboring thoughts of flight
My heart isn’t ready for the fight ~
It’s on its way to me again

~*~

curious and curious still
how my heart cries out
to wander hills
to find in strange
come lonesome towns
unfamiliar faces all around
where clocks tick backward in a click
emotions never seem to stick
where one can ride their way at night
into a sanctum near twilight
where eyes of prey beg one to play
and no one hears these inner ways
of timed round sound
that’s wearing down

will this cry soon tamper ground
convictions that have forced me round
this straight and long, oh-so-narrow path
that beg me peace, but here’s the math
and P.S. to you who hears this plea
Frances keeps me company
split/divides/conquers, then hides
waving bony fingers wide

play the song that rounds your bend
know that ache will never end
little girl, you’re no real tease
and no road will ever ease
that cry I hear there in your soul
little girl, you are growing old.

Convictions tamper down this bile
uneasy sits this mind gone wild
and split/divides me guilty true,
that it still plays thoughts
of wayward you.

with leather eyes

Decaflame,
This is so well written and expressed.  I'm in awe of how quickly you brought me to this mood.  I enjoyed this a lot.

Deca, Deca, Deca....what'm I gonna do with you!

Well, I did wake up with Bonnie & Clyde music looping in my head -- again -- maybe I'll play it once for you and send you a mindgram of it, just to torment your daydreamin' self!

Ah yes, I feel this one.  Excellent.

Susan, thank you for sharing that...doesn't work if you don't feel it...

Hurry back, Enchanting one...

So are you, Dixie...

I don't know, Rat...you think anything can really be done with me?

Misc'e...now that's one of the nicest things I've heard today.  Thank you!

Haven't heard hurdy gurdy in a long time,
suppose we can go find one and dance away?  Thanks, DS...always...

Cpat...Bingo!

How I miss it, too...

I've never been lonely alone. It's always when I'm with someone who isn't completely there that the ache of loneliness sets in.

I want my knapsack back.

*huge smiles*
so, do you know how much I love this one?
now you do!
ah wanderlust....
a treasure to be found
and sometimes we keep the treasure
and other times, realize it's not so
shiny after all and throw it away....

I LOVE THIS.
