Between the Lines

I watch and listen
being neither here nor there,
anymore.
Shutting down what was
for now,
letting what isn't
take over.

Not good at pretending,
I hear an emptiness
and feel each breath
you took from me.

But time shouldn't be
all we have,
as I watch you
coming towards me
and sometimes
enjoy the anticipation
a bit too much,
"the lacking of "
setting things back.

It doesn't matter
that you don't understand me,
or that our needs
are not the same,
because I have stopped looking
for the opening
of that door.

Your words slips so easily on my tongue as if the words have rested there at another time.  I feel your writing so deeply. It has the capacity to set my mood for the rest of the day!  I sure hope sun comes out, just right, with a comfortable temperature!  Have a good day

So poignantly beautiful.
