I brought you my vanity
as paper poems in plastic
they were ovaltine and okra

you said you loved the southern
deepfried and sundried
checkerboard red and white

with air fresh pine trees
hanging from junk yard cars

we watched the bedlam ballet
army boots and bibbed tutus
where the taxies roamed all night

looking for prey that pays
with stolen credit cards
and the gays are not really

but joined in the dance
so they could wear the clothes

and not be expected to be married
by the priests that used to believe
you were a forgiving God

you yawned when I sinned
and said you had seen it all
done before and better by worse

but if I kept trying
I could be a hell of a sinner

I'd say teach me,
but then I'd have to
get in line...

Sinner or Saint, isn't it what's in the heart?  I enjoyed this journey as well.

Perhaps, but you're still one hell of a man. Somebody I can look up to, which is rare, and not too typical for my height~grins.

Love,
