Bombay living room grins with lemon twists
Teaberries unlocking kindness to mammoth
Full minute prayers, pressed with flaming passports
Between books of words created by a doctor
With a Yale masters degree
Stamped with care as a promise on our bosoms

Let us stroll, if you like, the boards of Ocean City
And find potential on the beach of day
Dandelions exploding between our fingers
Making a wish on the mouth of elemental ways
Dancing on the ocean of finishing school
Savoring elaborate inscriptions on silver dollars
Only to set them free…we need nothing

Halfback in what becomes known
As we grow into formidable mankind
And place our tie breaking vote
That summer rocks for us, all year round
Guilty as charged among friends

Dreaming with every pinch of echelon
Where beach surf tickles our toes
Placing us at the mercy of ocean foam
Intersecting high on the mountains
Wide-eyed glows changing colors

Breathing leisure with ease
Voices blooming, echo us
Sounds of nomadic tongues
We leap onto black velvet horses
Of night..Trading indelible imprints
With the waking full moon over Carolinas

Collecting sugar beets and sweet corn
Holding our breath and turning mouths to the Gods
Where Oceans meet, down the highways
We find and begin
Surrounded by Gods and Goddesses
Telling us we exaggerate
Can we? Still exaggerate?

Reminds me of that youthful carefree attitude when nothing mattered except for that very moment in time.
Beautiful emotions in this write Lee J.

Sometimes I think you have a thought recorder implanted in your skull.

Your poetry takes me places of ponder, lady.

I find myself gleaning something new from every read--because, yes, it takes more than one read.

Intense and yet somehow meditative. You are a long walk, lady, and I mean that as a compliment.
