I always feel inadequate when we engage in our poetic efforts Hoot. You always come up with such beautiful poetry. I am glad you find some degree of inspiration to kickstart your muse with my poetry. Is there an answer I could send, To fill the void, to pain transcend, Can I, a man, and nothing more, Help mend a soul, a heart restore? Hear me now my gentle friend, These simple words, I to you send, The kiss of dew upon the rose, Is but a tear of love’s disclose. Love lives not without life’s sorrow, Without the night there is no morrow, If one has loved, then one has touched Upon a star, forever clutched, To one’s breast, a priceless gift, A blazing jewel, a comet swift, Three simple words and nothing more, I love you, means evermore, There is nothing I can say, To ever make pain go away, All that I could, friend, ever do, Is in your dreams, call out to you, Pull you gently to my chest, And lay your head upon my breast, Then stroke your hair and whisper soft, Come with me to skies aloft Where muses sing and angels fly, To hear the answer to your why. Not from me a mortal man, But from the gods, where love began. In midnight skies to realms above, I’ll take you friend, to find lost love.
