Filigree strands
  of impervious metal,
Encapsulate my heart,
  closing valves
  to love's red river,
Now that we're apart.

The beat has slowed,
  and lost its rhythm,
  my pulse no longer rages.
I've slipped in to
  an emotional coma,
~ the last of my life stages.

Please note: Just poetry folks!

Earth Angel,
And good poetry at that. You are a wonder or maybe a real Angel?

Your psychic sensitivity has caught emotions that are very real for some souls and you have rendered them in a remarkable way.
Impressive!

Never 'just poetry' with you Linda...
Always something wonderfully penned.

"I've slipped in to
  an emotional coma"

Loved those two lines, reminds me of "Comfortably Numb" by Pink Floyd, and that's a compliment.

Ah, this speaks to me.  Sometimes I would long for an emotional coma.  This was very well penned.

(big angel hugs) Awwwwwww, I'm happy to hear this is just poetry, because I used to feel this way all the time and hate to see my friends feel this way! (smiles) Yay, the coma I never mind having is the fanciful dreamer's coma, yay, God Bless You, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Linda, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

I am pleased to have alleviated those fears! Yes, it was just poetry, but I was able to draw on emotions that I had once experienced and were sloshing around in the bottom of my inkwell ~ and heart.

I was delighted that you appreciated my analogies! Thanks, lily jo!

Lots of love 'n Light,
