Filigree strands of impervious metal, Encapsulate my heart, closing valves to love's red river, Now that we're apart. The beat has slowed, and lost its rhythm, my pulse no longer rages. I've slipped in to an emotional coma, ~ the last of my life stages. Please note: Just poetry folks! |

Ah, this speaks to me. Sometimes I would long for an emotional coma. This was very well penned. Susan Happiness isn't something that happens to you, it's created from within you. Joy is a state of mind. |
