Constellated Bond

the stars are scattered overcast
seemingly strewn at random for wonderment;
grapes ripe in the wind
plucked by a sextant, then sipped through a winter night
by travelers gliding silent wind borne on
on paths mapped out by the imagination
with stellar guidance yet
it falls on each to cast his footing

Contabo

no matter who tells us our poetry is good or bad, it falls on each of us to choose what we write.

"on paths mapped out by the imagination"

And, a wonderous path it is!  I've been on it a few times myself.  Enjoyed much!

but there is the design and we can take part in it, yes ...

Beautiful!

Thank you all for your comments and I do appreciate that you took time to read.

Martie, it is always a joy when a reader pastes a line they were pleased with.

Enchantress, as I grow, my style may change, I hope you change with me!

Midnightsun, I am glad that a line touched you also.

PS, “wow” says it all.

James, thank you for your encouragement.

Margherita, again I am happy that a line appealed to you. Yes, there is a design in all of nature. How wonderful it is.

iliana….how many “o’s” in oh did that comment have???

Earth Angel, I really appreciate your kindness. I was unsatisfied with this poem. I think it needs more work.

Seymour, I am grateful you took time to read.

I like this.  Your word choice makes the image so vivid, and yet something I have to read and re-read while it all slips together.  Nice, the deliberateness with randomness.
