Trading visions with Buddhist philosophy
Sunrise is dog eared to long-distance runners
Humpbacks writing courses of lateral moves
Portraying HR with break heart openness

Death takes a vacation with cultural centers
Recognizing what most wrist watches have spoken
I have lunch with Ocean City, Maryland
We speak of Western PA, & White Tail
Deer, resting on their own silence
Understanding the shells people wear

From rural Finger Lakes, hooknose salmon soar
Into continuous eyes of the an endless shore
Walking sticks, guide wonder into my cottage
Listening to the inner languages of verse
From deep southern neighborhoods of narrative

Muses become priests of a controlled burn
Sweeping the dirt floor of my cottage
Discussing survival defense with limited editions
Crawling in field grass observing white herons
Where lives are completed here
Putting an end to cellular phones

Finishing my coffee, I think about payday
And those highest levels of management
Whom no one knows by trade…
But by going through to the ceiling of His world
Where He recalls every name that was hummed
In a place where Presley and Joplin strums

An interesting write, Lee.
You always leave me with a fresh painting, a different brushstroke of life's palette.

One day I would love to sit down with you for hours, and talk...or just listen to the air!  You are remarkable!

You continue to impress, lady!

I always get this stream of consciousness feel from your work and yet it is linear and sharp, lucidly intelligent observations of heart.

And yes, I've been reading you! (should tell you more often, huh?)

sheesh

Enjoyed.

Love this poem...:-)
I live just south of the finger lakes
(45 minutes from Watkins Glenn) This stanza rang a familiar bell in my head...

"From rural Finger Lakes, hooknose salmon soar
Into continuous eyes of the an endless shore
Walking sticks, guide wonder into my cottage
Listening to the inner languages of verse"

thank you for the tone
