Just Breathe

I find myself in anticipation,
of what I've yet to learn.
The beating heart of lonely thoughts,
the near of missing, the ache of yearn.

I find myself around the bend
anxious for what isn't here.
The silence of another day,
haunted by the touch of near.

What shall I do, where shall I go
when all is not in moment's seize?
A kaleidoscope of once upons,
a crimson thought, in warming breeze.

Of which I brush aside, the blush,
those thoughts that enter, runnning wild.
Thinking then on what was shared
fostering, unkempt, a smile.

Norah she, pretending I, to concert you
in shadow's  touch.
The contact reaching, feeling fused
yet in resist, I miss you much.

Just a few, these words that probe
relenting not for now.
Exploring thoughts that intervene,
as timing will allow.

Timing yes, another treat
when taken in account
the you of you, the me of me
and tomorrows to surmount.

A fine piece, M.
Would love to hear you recite this, to get the full benefit of the rhythm.
I'm coming more and more to enjoy reading poetry aloud.

you never know what is around the bend...

and that is a wonderful thing for an optimist.
