The aura I see
surrounding yonder
Peace olive tree
has weakened
to the point of
near invisibility.

Its branches appear
to disappear
in a darkened mist of hate.

Is my once keen eyesight failing?

It may be that I need
to seek
a higher
wattage.

* a rewrite that begged to see the light of day again

Yes, this did beg to see the light of day again! ~ and your eyesight is not failing, Dear Kacy. You see only too well!

Excellent!  I didn’t catch the original posting, but this version is great.

well.. they always did say I was the dimmest bulb.. so I'm guessing my wattage to be pretty low..

sometimes the very idea of peace itself seems impossible.. yet maybe if we all looked towards something brighter than ourselves.. we'd have more hope of finding it

I was thinking about the way things look today, too ... you've reminded me that we look deeper to find a brighter light, to see more clearly. Thank you for this, and for welcoming me to Passions!
