where the wild flowers grow

0 posted 2004-07-29 03:09 PM

..much like your hands,
are my waves
functioning without reason,
merely to move.

perpetual instinct
to change,
and holes are
evolutionary...

where your fingers caress me
you create small diseases upon
my flesh
but
I can forgive you for that...

the symptoms are constantly changing,
my war is
mangled and sufficient
but
still...
currently
in a frozen state.

Nothing could help my words to shape
drowning
and giving up on fighting to
stay above the surface...

the struggle
is the hardest part, or
so they say..

but you have chosen
to make
the outcome a
struggle within itself..

but I can
forgive you for that..

it's merely flesh.

It may be "merely flesh" but this goes wayyyyyyyyy deeper than that.

Ouch....but fine writing.  Can you forgive the holes made in other places?  Great poem, one that leaves one pondering.   ....jo

Megan I have enjoyed your poetry since the first day I found it here, and watch for you because I know I have got something great to read and think about in your work.

Now, I have to tell you I can't wait to see another side of you emerge with the birth that is going to happen soon.  This is going to take your poetry to an entirely new level.  I am sure a lot of us await your delivery, and in it, if you are any thing like any other mother over time, it is also deliverance.

Excellent writing.
